Something I’ve struggled with for many years was the distinction between God and Religion. It seems to trip up many others as well. I’ve noticed correlations between the two can create roadblocks to a living faith.
God lives within us. Religion focuses on the world. How does this matter to us, and what can we do about it? That’s the big question I aim to answer in today’s episode.
Many people could benefit from the shift of thinking about these two ideas differently instead of combined.
What’s Happening in Today’s Episode
I’m hopeful this episode will help illuminate what can happen when we merge human ideologies with the more extraordinary aspects of our existence. There is so much we don’t know about life, so being open and curious can help counter our ignorance.
A deeper understanding of these concepts could help cultivate a living faith and connection with our Creator.
Here is a quick highlight of the main topics discussed:
A high-level overview of God & Religion
Religion and the world
God is within us, and what this means
Overlapping God & Religion
Nurturing ourselves to connect with God
Human potential and our destiny
There is so much that lives within us. As we understand the makeup of our existence and our place in the universe, we cultivate the creative powers we’ve been gifted. Humans are truly incredible, but we’ve never quite understood the potential we hold.
Finding the seed of creation within us is how we escape the pain of this world. We are not alone and never have been. Only when we turn away from existence, do we find ourselves isolated and alone. Even then, we are loved and supported. We just need to see it.
The goal is to find things that resonate to be used in your life today, so studying the various concepts of self-mastery will hopefully give you the tools needed to tap into your highest potential.
