Hatred and judgment have become common forces in our society. Social media empowers people to be mean and bitter with very few consequences. We’re on a slippery slope, rapidly sliding into a dystopian hell.
We must counter this movement with compassion and understanding.

Have you noticed the level of anger and hatred rising in our society?
The new normal seems to be publicly shaming people and calling them terrible names because we disagree with their ideas or beliefs. This type of behavior is extremely dangerous and creates a culture of disconnect.
Celebrities, media figures, social media influencers, and leaders are all adopting this behavior. It’s setting a dangerous precedent for younger generations. The divide we feel within is growing wider.
We need to counter this hatred with compassion and understanding. We don’t help people see new perspectives by attacking their characters and calling them names. We lead people through compassion and education.
We must be willing to educate if we’re serious about helping others.
We can change this pattern, but we have a long way to go.

Compassion ensures there is mercy. Mercy keeps us humane and connected.
Without these pieces, we become cold and out-of-touch people.
We can make the change by leading by example in our lives every day.
