I once got to meet Mr Rogers - I didn't grow up watching him but when I did see his address to congress about the value of letting children know that feelings are okay and manageable, I remembered meeting him and my respect him just skyrocketed!

I didn't know he even shared that belief. So cool! Makes me happy as he was such a big figure for kids growing up in the 80s. Thanks for listening and for sharing :)

Mhhmmm...I'd love to see someone have the next iteration with with our current leaders about cognitive dissonance, self-forgiveness and courage - about how to go from going along to stepping into being a hero - like one of the Mr Rogers "Helpers" he talked about after 9/11 but helping by exposing what's really going on and standing up for transparency, first amendment rights, the right to choose what does and doesn't go in our bodies and respect for all human human beings.

Amen to that, Lily!! I feel the same - we as humans have a lot in common that our leaders seem so good at dividing us into buckets to forget our connections.

My podcast and work aims to break that system and help us level up as humans to connect with our divine power.

^ What you said! I'm with you 100%!! Thank you for helping us level us level up in that way! That is exactly what we need, and you're doing a brilliant job of doing it with tenderness and integrity and without blame for those who did their best before us yet left is with much to heal! :) Peace and have a wondrous day of light and life!

I only give honest compliments. You can tell from my posts I am blunt, as well. I give honest compliments to strangers, too, because as you said, we are one human family. Why should we not act like it? It is so easy for people to be liberal about their criticism, but as you said, we are one human family, why not be as liberal and expressive about our appreciation, the things that inspire us in one another and bring us optimism and joy? I bought a woman coffee once and she was very suspicious but intrigued. She said, "Why are you doing this?" I said, "Because I want to see a world with more love and kindness" and I may have added something about a world where we live like we are one human family.

You're so very welcome. It is a breath of fresh air to hear voices like yours. It is only through feeling that the body can bring awareness to what needs healing, emotionally. And our bodies, minds, hearts, souls, the image of God within us can work best with awareness that fills us with love. Having dallied in the evangelical community, I think there is a great deal of fear of feelings, or a belief that feelings are something to be ashamed of...my own view is that feelings are only information about what you inherited as a belief or how you interpreted reality. It's what you do with them that counts, and as you said, feelings tend to mature alongside healthy thoughts when they are parented lovingly.

This is fantastic and I couldn't agree more. Our emotions are telling us a story and when we don't listen their are often dire consequences for ignoring them.

So many of us have been taught to fear our emotions or simply ignore them. Or live in them without any boundaries.

The world is a strange place but I have hope knowing there are people who think and feel similarly and are working to impact things in a positive way.

I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts!
