An old saying that’s been around since the 1800s, this statement is still mightily relevant in our modern times.
I will discuss the beginnings of this statement and how we still have a long way to go to leverage the power and wisdom this statement holds.
The very fact this was a statement written almost 200 years ago speaks to the power it holds.

Censoring and restricting ideas has the power to limit and retard our potential. Powers at be wish to keep us locked in a place of darkness and ignorance. Ideas and words change all this. It’s why so many are desperate to censor and silence.
But we will not be silenced!
